How do I become a member of the Shreveport Bar Association?
To become a member, complete the online application or call (318) 222-3643 to request an application form. Once your application and payment have been received, please allow approximately two weeks for your information to be processed. You will be notified of your acceptance by mail.

What are the benefits of joining the Shreveport Bar Association?
Some of the benefits enjoyed by members of the SBA are:

1. Subscription to monthly newsletter (The Bar Review);

2. Continuing Legal Education credit opportunities at reduced rates;

3. Pictorial membership directory and composite published every other year;

4. Inexpensive monthly luncheon meetings with interesting speakers and topics;

5. Participation in various social events and community projects.

How much are the SBA membership dues?
There are three different dues amounts. Please check the online application to see what amount you would pay.

I am already an SBA member. When should I renew my dues?
SBA membership renewals are due on January 1 each year.

I let my SBA membership dues lapse. Can I be reinstated, and how?
Yes, you can be reinstated, as long as you are still in good standing with the Louisiana State Bar Association. To be reinstated, please complete the online application or call (319) 222-3643.
